Public Health England - national cervical screening campaign

About: Nationally, cervical screening rates are at an all time low, despite cervical screening being the best way to spot cervical cancer early. On 5 March 2019, Public Health England will launch their national cervical screening campaign which aims to:

  • highlight the risks of cervical cancer
  • highlight the preventative benefits of the often misunderstood screening test
  • encourage women of all ages to respond to their screening invitation
  • encourage women to consider booking an appointment if they have missed previous invitations
  • aim to tackle issues of fear and embarrassment.

You can help support the campaign by sharing posts on social media using #cervicalscreeningsaveslives

You can also share your experiences of cervical screening with our CCG to help us improve services for the future. Find out the ways in which you can give your feedback on our 'ways to get involved' pages.

The campaign will run until 28 April 2019.

Find out more: You can find out more about the campaign on the Public Health England website
