We work with a local charity BTM (Bradford Talking Media), to ensure we meet the requirements of the Accessible Information Standard and help people to receive information in suitable formats.

When planning engagement activity we take advice to make sure that we remove barriers to participation wherever possible.  Events are planned in accessible venues, and we ask people to tell us about any specific needs when booking a place.

If you need additional support to take part, such as materials in different formats or support to complete a survey, we’re here to help.

Just contact us by phone on 01274 237290 or email engage@bradford.nhs.uk.

BTM works with us to develop Easy Read, audio and BSL versions of key documents and provide advice and support to the CCG and our member practices.  For example, they’ve recently developed training to help staff work with deaf and visually impaired people, in response to feedback from our Grass Roots process. We also worked with them to deliver our Talk Cancer workshop in BSL.

BTM has an online library of resources that can be found here.
