There's lots you can do to manage your own health and wellbeing so you can make sure you stay as fit and well as possible. 

There are lots of benefits to learning how to manage your own health and wellbeing, including:

  • greater self-confidence, control and understanding of your ailment or condition,
  • less visits to NHS services,

  • save time and money with less travel and less time off work for appointments.

One You

Our lifestyles can be more unhealthy than we think and if you are busy with other things it can sometimes be hard to make time for yourself. The One You campaign is all about helping you get back to a healthier you.

One You can support you to make simple changes towards living a longer and happier life. The One You website provides tools, motivational support and encouragement every step of the way, to help improve your health right away. You are not alone – One You gives you the tools and personalised support to help you make small changes yourself, or with friends and family.  

If you are over 18 years old, you can take the One You quiz which will show you how you score against different measures of being healthy and offers advice on how you could improve your score. You can take the quiz here. 


Tips for helping you better manage your own health

Better managing your own health means making some lifestyle changes to make sure that you live well. These include;

  • reducing how much alcohol you drink
