Common ailments during pregnancy

Pregnancy does put extra strain on your body and there are some common ailments that you can expect when expecting.

Some of the changes may cause irritation and discomfort and there is rarely any need for alarm. If you are worried about any common ailments, it is worth mentioning it to your maternity team.

If you have any bleeding and/or pain during your pregnancy it is important to contact your GP or midwife for them to decide if you require a further assessment or ultrasound scan. Sometimes this is normal but it can be a sign of a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.
