Report on the CCGs stroke engagement work
Report on the CCGs stroke engagement workBetween July and September 2015 Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven, Bradford City and Bradford Districts Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) engaged with patients, carers and members of the public on recent changes to stroke services. The feedback we received is now available in a report.
In November, representatives from the CCGs - together with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Yorkshire Ambulance Service - met to discuss the report and its recommendations. At the meeting we drafted an action plan which will be submitted alongside this report to our public board meetings in January 2016.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their time in providing their feedback on the changes to stroke services. Hearing patients’ and carers’ stories and views helps us to make changes in the way we deliver services, and improve the experience of others. As a result of the feedback - amongst a range of other actions - we will be making changes in both how and what we communicate to patients who have experienced a stroke, their carers and family members.
