GP Practices are experience IT issues
GP practices in Bradford district and Craven are currently experiencing IT (computer) issues.
This does not affect their ability to see and update your patient record, but it does impact on – for example – making non-urgent electronic referrals to hospital, printing out prescriptions and communicating with the hospital laboratory about pathology results.
Some alternative arrangements have been made for these, for example, by making urgent patient referrals by other means.
Our IT provider, eMBED Health Consortium is working closely with independent experts to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
In the meantime, please be patient with your GP practice’s staff whilst they deal with these ongoing issues and start to tackle the backlog of work that will result from it.
