Next week, we are hosting our first ever VCS Summit!
On the 4th February, Bradford City and Bradford Districts Clinical Commissioning Groups will be coming together with over 120 representatives from the voluntary and community sector (VCS) and local statutory services to decide how we can shape the future of health and care in our area – together.
The event will be the first of its kind in Bradford. It will help build a strong working relationship between the two sectors to provide a holistic view of the health and care needs of our population.
The VCS Summit will start by looking at the current challenges and new opportunities in our area, followed by a keynote speech on ‘thriving and surviving’ by Lord Andrew Mawson OBE. Workshops will focus on:
- how we maintain a positive ongoing relationship between the CCG and VCS groups to make sure we deliver the best possible service for our population, and;
- how the VCS groups stay informed, and influence, the new models of care which are being developed by the CCG.
The event will finish with a dedicated ‘next steps’ session – guaranteeing that any actions are taken forward.
The summit also has an interactive theme – encouraging all participants to get involved via an online pin board and Twitter. Even if you are not there you can join the conversation by following the event on Twitter using #VCSSummit2016
