Become a member of the People's Board

Thank you to everyone who has supported the development of the People’s Board (name chosen by popular vote!).

The development of the People’s Board has grown through our involvement with patients, carers and the public via the patient networks and our community engagement. The purpose of the group is to influence Bradford City & Districts CCG policy and service design. Key areas of work will be around:

  • Influence (creating two way dialogue to inform the CCGs decisions)

  • Greater transparency (holding to account and improve feedback)

  • Involvement and reach (ensuring we hear and involve all Bradford communities)

  • Effective activity (building trust to have effective discussions and actions)

The People’s Board will strengthen and champion patient and public participation across the organisation, providing assurance, support and advice on the delivery of relevant programmes of work.

Below are notes of the developmental session and the outcome of the vote on the name of the group. I am happy to discuss the background in further detail if anyone wishes to contact me.

There are also details below of how to apply to become a member of the People’s Board. We would really appreciate if you could circulate this widely through your networks and to people who would be interested in this opportunity.

The deadline for applications is the 14th of January 2016. Please do use the support of the patient engagement leads, Saeed and myself with queries about applications.

Thank you again to everyone who has been part of this journey and look forward to a good 2016!

Best wishes,

Sasha Bhat - Head of engagement and experience
